We are part of the Fulda Museums community. The community currently includes: Vonderau Museum, Cathedral Museum (Dommuseum), Fulda Carnival Museum (Fuldaer Fastnachtsmuseum), German Fire Brigade Museum (Deutsches Feuerwehrmuseum), Children’s Academy (Kinderakademie) and the Environmental Center.
We are planning joint activities, which we will be presenting one by one shortly.

Exhibits donations and loans
Our museum is generally interested in all historical objects as well as objects from everyday life in the US ARMY today. The museum is also interested in stories and incidents from contemporary witnesses during their service in Germany as well as from civilian employees and civilians. Such experiences are stored in a database and serve the actual task of permanently preserving friendship and history – people and their experiences is the key to friendship. These objects should usefully expand the collection or help to close existing gaps.
If you would like to donate or loan one or more objects to the museum, simply drop by during opening hours or send us your offer using the form below.
All exhibits on display will be labeled with the name of the donor or lender in addition to the description.
The objects should be useful additions to the collection or help to close existing gaps.
We will contact you as soon as possible after receiving your letter or e-mail.
We look forward to receiving your mail.

We have been collecting exhibits piece by piece for many years. We are preserving the history of friendship with the Americans who were stationed in the Fulda, Bad Hersfeld and Bad Kissingen region. Several people have already taken part in the initiative and have also become a part of this great and interesting history.
Join in and become a part of this project! Leave your name in this story – support the initiative with a contribution!
We want to open additional exhibition spaces
For what?
Our museum in Fulda now has too little exhibition space.
We are in the process of building an additional exhibition space in Tann/Rhön. We have acquired the building with around 600m². We are now in the process of renovating the building.
We need help for this – every euro or US dollar counts.
How can I help?
With a financial donation (we are happy to issue a donation receipt for submission to the tax office):
- In cash by dropping it off in person at our Blackhorse Museum (Ernst-Barlach-Strasse 6, 36041 Fulda. Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
- By bank transfer to our account:
